Youth client charged with assault with a weapon after stabbing a man in the back who was confronting his brother. The client was acquitted after arguing the defence of protection of another person.

R. v. C., W. and W. et al

All three of Mr. Foster’s clients were acquitted of 13 counts of assault with weapons resulting from a large group altercation. The clients were acquitted on lack of identification after numerous Crown witnesses were cross-examined. Another accused person was convicted and sentenced to a lengthy period of incarceration.
